Good Friday

Contemplative Service

Holy Week Soup and Bread Potluck and Reflection

The last week of Lent culminates the turning of Winter to Spring. We experience the end of nature’s dormant period and longer nights, and turn our attention to earth’s abundance with blossoming new life and longer sunlit days.  We honor these same experiences in our own lives, knowing that even our darkest times hold the promise of renewal, transformation, and resurrection.

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, we are having a Holy Week Soup and Bread potluck including time for sharing and reflection with our friends while we eat.  The reflection questions are Good Friday focused on the last words of Jesus before the resurrection event. Be ready for some great tasting food, and rich and meaningful discussion.

Livestream Begins at 10:00am Sunday morning

 Easter Sunday

What’s in the Way?

When the women showed up Easter morning, they knew they needed help to move a “very large stone” to anoint the body.  The stone was moved for them – well, that was easy!   What helps us move the “stones” that block our paths? The support is always available to us!

Music: Unity Choir w/Kathy Murray

**We invite you to arrive a few minutes early for service to add a little touch of spring with fresh flowers for the hair, clothing or accessories**

"Palm Sunday's Copernican Renewal," April 13, 2025

Unity of Bellingham presents: "Palm Sunday's Copernican Renewal" By: Rev. Frank Castro-Wehr There are such times when someone brings humanity a unique, emergent, astonishingly transformative view and changes us all! We celebrate Palm Sunday this weekend - when the great way shower Jesus of Nazareth demonstrated a novel way of Being. Indeed others, in such times as following Spirit's lead, have transformed our consciousness as well. Are we in such times of transformation again? It sure seems so . . . let's explore! "Now What? Thriving in the Midst of Change," March 16, 2025

Unity of Bellingham presents: "Now What? Thriving in the Midst of Change" Lysa Allman-Baldwin Change is the only "constant in life" and we don't always get to choose how t comes about. Sometimes it's easy, other times it pushes us beyond our comfort zone, and then there are those occasions when every step seems so damn hard! Whether it's a move, divorce, season of the year, unexpected medical diagnosis, child leaving the next, new jog (or job loss), the next stage of life, death of a loved one...change is inevitable. Yet all of these circumstances offer an incredible opportunity to gently let go of the old and powerfully embrace the new.
